PROJECT PLANNING

We give you expert guidance and a clear explanation of every step.   We provide you peace of mind with detailed planning and careful follow-through so your move will be smooth and successful.  Our proven 3-step moving plan and large database of vendors ensure that you will be moved according to your timetable and needs.  Let us take the stress out of your move. 

1. Prepare for the Move:
  • Retain movers and obtain estimates
  • Meet with moving company to plan and execute move
  • Sort possessions for move
  • Coordination, execution and disposition of possessions for: 
    Donations  Auction  E-Bay  Consignment  Storage Estate  and  Tag Sales
  • Measure/photograph present furniture and new space for draft of Floor Plan for Assisted Living clients only
  • Document artwork, furniture, accessories, etc.
  • Coordinate and plan new closet needs
  • Arrange for disconnection and connection of all utilities
  • Arrange for disconnection and connection of computers
  • Change of address
  • Arrange with building management’s move-in requirements

2. Oversee Move Out:
  • Organize inventory for packing using color-coded labeling for proper routing to each room or final destination (i.e. storage facility, etc.)
  • Oversee packing with movers
  • Arrange to have premises cleaned by either staff or outside service after Move Out depending on scope of project. Your home is ready for walk-through.
3. Oversee Move In:
  • Unpack routed boxes
  • Oversee furniture placement according to floor plan
  • Set up kitchen, bathrooms, living room, closets, etc.
  • Set up accessories
  • Hang art work

Other Services:
  • Estate clean-outs
  • Preparation and staging for home sale using client’s belongings
  • Oversee installation of special projects such as electronic systems and window treatments
  • Locks changed on exterior/interior doors
  • Purchasing of service appliances (washer/dryers, refrigerator, etc.
  • Prepare “stock the pantry” lists and, if desired, purchase items
  • Be present for deliveries of furniture, appliances, cable and utility company service representatives
